The History Channel has a new series called "The Five Men Who Built America." These five men are Henry Ford, John D. Rockefeller Jr., Andrew Carnegie, Cornelius Vanderbilt and J.P. Morgan. The series examines the ways these five men transformed America through oil, railroads, steel, shipping, and the automobile and finance industries. It will also look at their influence on presidential elections, economic policies and other major events such as the Great Depression and World War I. Series creators use technology to recreate the world these men knew, created and controlled.
Synopsis of the first episode: "Out of the turmoil of the Civil War, America enters an age of
enlightenment that will change the landscape of the country forever. The
growth is driven by five insightful men who will change the world
forever." Series premiere Tuesday October 16th @ 9pm.
